Lamb, Drummond earn All-Big East honors

UConn sophomore Jeremy Lamb made the All-Big East Conference first team and teammate Andre Drummond earned all-rookie team honors.

Lamb, a preseason All-Big East pick, is the only sophomore on the six-player team, joining the Marquette senior duo of Jae Crowder and Darius Johnson-Odom, Georgetown senior Jason Clark, Syracuse senior Kris Joseph and West Virginia senior Kevin Jones.

Lamb leads the Huskies in scoring at 17.6 points per game and also average 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

Drummond is averaging 10.2 points and team bests in rebounds (7.8) and blocks (2.6).

UConn (18-12), the No. 9 seed, plays No. 16 DePaul in the Big East tournament Tuesday at noon at Madison Square Garden in New York.
