The April 6 letter, "No one buying what bishop selling," mocking Bishop Cote's April 4 commentary about religious freedom ("Religious liberty, the first freedom") shows a lack of knowledge or concern of one our most basic rights guaranteed by our Constitution. I guess the letter writer considers the Constitution as archaic as he does the church. It seems ironic that this was brought up at Easter time when we all know the story of Judas betraying Christ for a handful of silver. Now we have Americans ready to betray their fellow Americans rights for a handful of pills.
