Board of Ed member was acting ethically

Please accept this letter in response to the May 16 letter, "Board of Ed a fiasco in North Stonington." It read: "It seems that every time a controversy happens, the name of one board member appears." He's right. That board member is Bob Testa.

When several board members ran part of their political campaigns through a teacher's school computer, violating their own board policy about computer use, it was Testa who objected. When the superintendent plagiarized several documents, it was Testa who brought it to light. When money from activity accounts was fraudulently obtained, it was Testa who brought it to light. When a grant was used for other than its intended purpose, it was Testa who brought it to light. When a district credit card was used for personal expenses, it was Testa who brought it to light. When professional development money was used erroneously, it was Testa who brought it to light.

How bizarre this is that Testa is perceived as the problem. In organizations guided by ethics and morality, he'd be a welcomed and valued addition.
