Waterford soldier's portrait, others, to be added to Wall of Honor

A fallen Waterford soldier will be among seven from the state whose portraits will be added to the Wall of Honor at the state Capitol Thursday.

Army Staff Sgt. Ari R. Cullers, 28, was killed Oct. 30 in Afghanistan.

The ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Legislative Office Building atrium, 300 Capitol Ave., Hartford.

Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman and Hartford radio broadcaster Brad Davis, who together created the Wall of Honor in 2007, will host.

The six other honorees, who also died in the war in Afghanistan are: Army Spec. Philip C.S. Schiller, 21, of Winsted; Army Spec. Richard C. Emmons, 22, of North Granby; Army Pfc. Eric D. Soufrine, 20, of Woodbridge; Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer Brian R. Bill, 31, of Stamford; Army Sgt. Edward J. Frank II, 26, of Hartford; and Army Spec. Dennis Pratt, 34, of Southington.
