Free ice cream cone during Ledyard Police Day Monday

Ledyard — On Monday, members of the Ledyard Police Department encourage residents to participate in Ledyard Police Day.

From noon to 3 p.m., at Cows and Cones in Gales Ferry, police officers will be on hand for tours of police cars and a K9 demonstration is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Children will receive a voucher for a free ice cream cone and residents are also asked to bring a canned food donation for the town’s food locker.

Cows and Cones is at 39 Military Highway.
