Nature's Art: The Dinosaur Place in Montville has been recognized as a 2012 Editor's Choice for "Best Prehistoric Play" in Yankee Magazine's Travel Guide to New England.
"We are honored to be recognized," said Linda Phillips, owner of the attraction at 1650 Hartford-New London Turnpike.
The 60-acre site includes 30 life-size dinosaurs and boasts more than 50,000 visitors a year. Dinosaur Place also includes the largest splash pad in New England, a two-story maze and a super-sized playscape.
The adjacent Nature's Art gift shops include an indoor mine where old-time panning techniques reveal gold; a prehistoric "dig" site, and a craft center.
