Mohegan - Police said a Waterbury man left his 7-month-old baby alone in his car for several hours Wednesday while gambling at Mohegan Sun casino.

Kyuyoun Lee, 32, whom police found at the casino, was charged with risk of injury to a minor and leaving a child unsupervised, said state police spokesman Lt. Paul J. Vance.

Vance said a concern citizen called police around 10 a.m. after seeing the unattended child in the car at the casino’s Riverview parking garage. The child had been in the car “a significant period of time,” Vance said, possibly since 3 a.m.

The child, who appeared to be uninjured, was turned over to the state Department of Children and Families, Vance said.

Lee was released on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear June 14 in Norwich Superior Court.
