Shoreline Roller Derby’s Salty Broads faced off against Hartford Area Roller Derby’s Hartford Wailers on May 19th at Nomads Adventure Park in South Windsor, Connecticut.

The Salty Broads built an early lead, scoring 38 points to the Wailers’s 16 points by the end of the ninth jam of the bout. The Wailers consistently scored points throughout the remainder of the half, but the Salty Broads maintained their lead.

At the half, the scoreboard read SLRD 64 - HARD 44. In the second half, the Salty Broads got off to a quick start and, despite the Wailers scoring 15 unanswered points in the 29th jam, the Salty Broads continued to build their lead.

At the conclusion of the bout, the Salty Broads prevailed 184 - 93. Country Jam, who skated in her last bout as a member of SLRD, received the MVP award for the Salty Broads. To see more pictures from this and other bouts, check out http://www.flickr.com/photos/slrd/
