Harvard University Professor of English Helen Vendler will deliver the eighth annual James Merrill Lecture, titled "Wallace Stevens: American Poet," at the LaGrua Center in Stonington on Sunday, June 10, at 5 p.m.

Vendler's lecture will examine three Wallace Stevens poems from "Notes Toward a Supreme Fiction." Copies of the poems will be provided.
