Norwich schools receive Clean Fuels grant

Norwich – School officials received approval today of a $17,450 grant to cover part of the cost for a new natural gas fueled maintenance and plowing pickup truck included in the 2012-13 budget.

School Business Administrator Athena Nagel said school officials had budgeted $50,000 for the Ford F-350 truck to be used to plow some school grounds and for maintenance equipment and supplies.

The grant was approved by the state Department of Transportation Clean Fuels program.
