Long-serving Democratic Selectman Dolly Mezzetti announced at the June 6 Board of Selectmen meeting that she will be stepping down from her position effective June 30.
"I'll miss Clinton. I've been there 24 years, but I need to take the time to take care of myself, my health, and my family," Mezzetti said.
Mezzetti has served on the Board of Selectmen for 11 years and has frequently been the town's highest vote-getter, though she never sought the first selectman's position. She previously served as the town's tax collector before taking that office in the town of Guilford.
