Comcast had added 37 new channels to its television lineup in Old Saybrook, Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Durham, Essex, Haddam and Killingworth.
The new programming was made available as part of the company's digital network enhancement. The most recent expansion includes 32 new high-definition channels.
Comcast is digitizing its analog channels in three phases, having already initiated two of the waves in April and May. Completion of the process is expected next week.
"These moves are clearing the way for additional HD programming, more On Demand choices, faster Internet speeds and other interactive digital services," the company said in a statement.
