Police searching for missing Mass. woman known to frequent casinos

Norwich – Police are looking for a Massachusetts woman who has been missing since Monday when she was en route to a New Haven airport.

Police said Sarah Oberempt, 49, of Greenfield, Massachusetts, may be confused because of a medical condition. She has not been seen since Monday, when she left Norwich to go to Tweed Airport on Monday.

Police said there is no record of Oberempt booking a flight out of Tweed. She frequents casinos, police said, and has in the past disappeared and been located in Las Vegas. Police said her vehicle was found at the Holiday Inn in Norwich.

Police ask anyone who may have seen Oberempt or who has any information to provide regarding her whereabouts is urged to call the Norwich Police Department at (860) 886-5561.
