Waterford - Waterford rallied for three runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Norwich 11-10 and complete a sweep of their American Legion Zone VI baseball doubleheader on Saturday.
After winning the opener 4-2, Waterford (4-0) trailed 10-8 with two outs in the seventh of the second game when Avery Barlow tripled home two runs to tie the game and Mike DelosSantos followed with a game-winning single.
The hits capped a big second game for both players. Barlow was 5-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, three RBI and four runs scores while DelosSantos had two hits, one RBI and scored a run.
Chase Gendron went 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI for Norwich and Miles Laureno was 2-for-3 with a double.
In the opener, Waterford broke open a tight game with three runs in the bottom of the sixth, the key hits an RBI single by Seth Hoagland and an RBI double by James Annello. Both had two hits in the opener as did Norwich's Gendron.
In other games:
• Troy Stefanski's three-run double in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Ledyard-Pawcatuck to a 4-3 win over Montville in the first game of a doubleheader. Tre Gonzalez pitched a four-hitter in the second game, leading Montville to a 7-4 win and a split.
