Hartford (AP) — The National Weather Service says there is a good possibility that scorching temperatures coming to Connecticut this week will set records.

Forecasters say the Northeast will see the hottest temperatures of the season on Wednesday and Thursday.

The record temperature at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks for each of those calendar dates is 96 degrees. The weather service said Tuesday that high temperatures could exceed that before a cold front arrives later in the week.

The high temperature for June at Bradley is 100 degrees, on June 26, 1952 and June 30, 1964.
