State board considers suspending doctor's license

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — The state Medical Examining Board will consider whether to suspend the license of a doctor charged with inappropriately touching patients during exams at a Clinton community health center.

The board is scheduled to meet Tuesday afternoon to consider suspending Dr. Tory Westbrook's physician's license until a hearing on the allegations can be held. The proposed suspension lists allegations by four patients.

The 43-year-old Glastonbury resident was charged earlier this month with multiple counts of second-degree sexual assault involving three alleged victims, and police say at least three more alleged victims have come forward.

Westbrook denies all the charges.

Westbrook resigned from Clinton's Community Health Center in February. He's currently on administrative leave from his job as medical director of Charter Oak Health Center in Hartford.
