Missing hiker found by police dog

Granby - A hiker who went missing in Enders State Forest in Granby was found safe by a police dog about five hours after she called 911 to ask for help. Officials told WFSB-TV that the woman was found in the woods shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday. She went home with relatives after being checked out by paramedics. Her name hasn't been released. Authorities say the woman called 911 about 9 p.m. Wednesday and said she got separated from fellow hikers. Granby police and firefighters, state police and Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials took part in the search.
