Voluntown – The pond at Pachaug State Forest has been closed to swimmers following water quality testing, the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection announced today.
The pond remains open to boating and fishing, officials said.
DEEP staff members collect samples from state beaches on a weekly basis to be tested by the Department of Public Health.
