When hiring a business to perform a service for you, beware of the statement that the business is fully "bonded and insured." I recently had a significant amount of jewelry stolen from me. Although I have an alarm system I use consistently, and a dog, and despite the fact that no one had been in my home other than a representative of this company, I was told that I can't prove anything (I didn't catch anyone in the act) so their insurance would not cover anything.
Don't be lulled into a false sense of security by the words "bonded and insured."
