WARM Shelter names new executive director

Westerly - Westerly Area Rest Meals has appointed Russ Partridge of South Kingstown, R.I., to be its executive director.

Over the past four years, Partridge has served as WARM's program director, managing its emergency shelter program, soup kitchen, Harvest Homes family housing program and Attire for Hire program while overseeing community outreach.

Partridge will replace longtime executive director the Rev. Jean Barry, who has been named executive director emeritus and will work on the completion of the WARM's building project and capital campaign.

Partridge has more than 30 years in the social services field. Before coming to WARM in 2008, he worked as the director of social services at Crossroads Rhode Island.
