New London — A man suffered head contusions and bleeding on the brain early Sunday morning after allegedly being attacked by two men and jumping off a porch at 74 West St., police said.

Police said Alba Ariel’s injuries were non-life threatening and that he could not identify his assailants. He was dropped off at the emergency room at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital by a family friend. Ariel’s age and address were not provided by police.

Police said they were called to 74 West St. by a man who said his porch had been damaged as a result of a party. As officers were investigating the incident, hospital personnel called police to report that an assault victim had arrived for treatment.
