New London — Police said they found a man Sunday afternoon on Tilley Street after he had suffered a stab wound.

Robert McIntear, whose age and address were not given, was found in front of 33 Tilley Street after his sister had called police indicating that he had been stabbed. After attempting to walk away from the scene, police said McIntear was brought to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, where his injuries were found to be not serious.

McIntear was uncooperative and refused to give a statement, according to police. Officers searched the downtown area near the residence where McIntear was located, but no crime scene was found.
