Norwich man charged on sex assault charges

Norwich – A local homeless man was arrested early today on a warrant for multiple sexual assault charges stemming from incidents involving a juvenile who knew the man, police said.

Andre Oudkerk, 50, of no certain address was charged at 2:41 a.m. Thursday with four counts of second-degree sexual assault and four counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was held on $150,000 bond and was presented today in Norwich Superior Court.

Police said the arrest was based on a warrant for incidents from 2005 to this year involving a single juvenile victim. No further information was released.
