Man flees after crashing car on Giants Neck Road

East Lyme – A state police K-9 team was called to the scene of a rollover accident early this morning after the driver fled the scene of the crash on Giants Neck Road.

The team tracked the driver a short distance from the vehicle, and police said he admitted fleeing the scene after the car struck an embankment and rolled over, sustaining heavy damage.

Kenneth J. Gagnier, 27, of 7 Gair Court, Uncasville, was charged with driving with a suspended license, evading responsibility, reckless driving, interfering with an officer and breach of peace. He was released and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court July 27.
