Brandhuber assumes command of Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans

Ledyard — Cmdr. Michael J. Brandhuber, a native of Gales Ferry, recently assumed command of Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans.

Brandhuber is responsible for 120 people and five MH-65C Dolphin helicopters that are conduct search and rescue, law enforcement and marine environmental-response operations. His previous duty stations include Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, Coast Guard Headquarters, Coast Guard Academy, Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans and Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii.
