Montville – Police are looking for a 26-year-old man who escaped from the Cochegan Halfway House sometime last night or early this morning.

Police said Thomas Anthony Brum may be with Amanda Pavao, 27, who is wanted in Rhode Island for conspiracy to break and enter and conspiracy to commit larceny. Pavao visited Brum on Aug. 3 and was the last person to do so.

Brum is described as a 5-foot-6-inch white male, 125 pounds, with brown hair in a buzz cut, brown eyes, a goatee and “life is a gamble” tattooed on his upper right arm. State police do not have a clothing description for Brum, who police said may be headed to Pavao’s home at 1340 Strugis Drive in Darthmouth, Mass. Local police departments have been notified, state police said.

Police said Brum escaped the halfway house, at 976 Route 32, between 11 p.m. Sunday and 1 a.m. Monday. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Troop E, Montville at (860) 848-6500.
