East Lyme – Two people were rescued in the water off McCook Point Park Thursday after they ran their inflatable raft onto Wigwam Rock.

The two people were uninjured, said personnel from the Niantic Fire Department, which supported Waterford firefighters during the 7:45 p.m. rescue.

Fire personnel used the Goshen Fire Department's boat and picked the two people off the rock, then took them to Boats Incorporated in Niantic.
