SLRD wraps up the season with big bout

Shoreline Roller Derby team the BellaDonnas will play in their last home bout of the 2012 season on Saturday, Aug. 11, at Galaxy Roller Rink in Groton. The Belladonnas will take on the Old Money Honeys of Providence Roller Derby. An exhibition featuring Shoreline's 2012 recruits with a Superheroes vs. Villains theme will follow the bout.

Doors open at 5 p.m., with the first whistle at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 pre-sale or $12 at the door. Children age 10 and younger are free with a paying adult. Bring a chair. Raffles, wheel toss, bake sale and adult beverages will be available. The "Defenders of Pluto" will provide halftime entertainment, and the after-party will be at Christopher's Café in Groton.
