Hot Property: Former ‘Today’ co-host Meredith Vieira buys Hollywood Hills home
Actor Morris Chestnut has sold his house in Hidden Hills for $2.3 million.
The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom Mediterranean on 2.4 acres was most recently marketed as a short sale. Chestnut paid $3.3 million for the property in 2007, public records show.
The 5,522-square-foot house, built in 1974, has a teen suite on one floor and all other living areas on the main floor. There are open-beam ceilings, stone floors and two master bedroom suites. French doors off one suite open to a swimming pool. Other outdoor amenities include a tennis court, a covered patio, a barbecue area and a five-stall stable.
Chestnut, 43, had a recurring role last year in "American Horror Story" and starred in "V" (2009-11). His film credits include "The Perfect Holiday" (2007), "G.I. Jane" (1997) and "Boyz N the Hood" (1991).
SCREENWRITER PASSES TO A PACER
Screenwriter Kevin Williamson has sold his house in the Hollywood Hills to Indiana Pacer Danny Granger for $3.715 million.
The chic contemporary, built in 1990, features walls of glass, city views and 15-foot-tall ceilings, which may have appealed to the 6-foot-8 small forward. Designed for entertaining, the house has three expansive terraces, a pool area bar and a swimming pool. There is a gym with a sauna, a home theater, four bedrooms, 5 ½ bathrooms and 5,140 square feet of living space.
Williamson, 47, bought the property in 2003 for $3.1 million. Known for the "Scream" films, he also works on "The Vampire Diaries" television series, which he developed (2009-present).
Granger, 29, has played for the Pacers since 2005.
