Montville – State police rearrested an inmate at the Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center after he allegedly assaulted a correction officer Monday afternoon.
Arnold A. Bell, 46, of New Haven was charged Monday with assault on public safety personnel.
State police responded to Corrigan around 3 p.m. Monday for the reported assault. Bell was arrested and released back into the custody of the Department of Correction on a $5,000 bond. He's scheduled to appear Sept. 6 in Norwich Superior Court.
According to online court records, Bell was convicted in April of third-degree assault.
