Waterford — State police early this morning pulled over a Canterbury man during a motor vehicle stop on the Montville Connector and charged him with numerous drug offenses.
James Lepage, 23, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, weapon in a motor vehicle and failure to drive in a proper lane.
Police stopped Lepage around 12:30 a.m. Prior to the motor vehicle stop, they said they developed information that he was allegedly selling prescription medication.
Police said Lepage was in possession of drug paraphernalia, assorted weapons, heroin and prescription drugs.
Lepage was processed at Troop E in Montville, where he posted a $5,000 non-surety bond.
