Mohegan Sun presents Gina Barreca in a "Winning Authors" event on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. Now in its fourth year, this free event is part of the the Connecticut Authors Trail, in which local libraries showcase prominent authors who either live in or are associated with the Nutmeg State.
Barreca is most recently the editor of "Make Mine a Double: Why Women Like Us Like To Drink (Or Not)" and author of "It's Not That I'm Bitter: How I Learned to Stop Worrying About Visible Panty Lines and Conquered the World." A professor of English and Feminist Theory at the University of Connecticut, Barreca has appeared on 20/20, the TODAY Show, CNN and Dr. Phil's and Oprah's shows to discuss gender, power, politics and humor.
