Stonington police charge local teen with robbing Westerly boy

Stonington — Police have charged a 15-year-old local boy with assaulting and robbing a Westerly boy of $4,100 of items including jewelry and an iPhone Monday afternoon.

Police said the robbery occurred at St. Michael's Cemetery at the end of Stillman Avenue at about 5:30 p.m.

The youth was referred to juvenile court after being charged with second-degree robbery, third-degree assault and second-degree larceny. Police are continuing to investigate, and more arrests are pending.
