Members of the state’s fire crews are expected to return to Connecticut on Saturday after assisting the U.S. Forest Service with fighting wild fires in Montana, the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection announced Friday.

Three southeastern Connecticut residents, from Lyme, Essex and Moosup, are among the members of the 20-member fire crew.

The group is expected to arrive at 1 p.m. Saturday at DEEP’s at Eastern District Headquarters in Marlborough. The crew is comprised of 12 DEEP staff and eight private-sector firefighters.
