Today's politics are simply shameful

Here we go again. The Republicans conduct their convention with the usual baloney being spouted by all concerned about how their candidate can turn the country around. We hear what a bad job the current president did, and all the negative stuff they can come up with. They provide a plan that sounds good, but will never happen. This is all about power and control. This is not about you and I, for it does not matter which party is in power, the other party does all it can to make sure things do not change for the better. The Democratic convention will be no better and we will hear pretty much the same speeches. I am making it a point not to listen to any political commercials and hanging up on all the bothersome phone calls, for I am sick of all the negativity and lies. There are times I am ashamed of our political system because of how it has degenerated over time. I don't think our founding fathers would be proud of the current state of American politics.
