The AGvocate Steering Committee is seeking responses by Sept. 14 from qualified professionals for further development of its AGvocate program.
The program promotes farm-friendly community policies and regulations in eastern Connecticut, and is the liaison between agricultural producers and local communities. It works to strengthen the network between producers, agriculture commissions and other municipal boards.
The AGvocate program is managed by the Eastern Connecticut Resource Conservation and Development Area Inc. in cooperation with a steering committee comprised of members from participating communities, The Last Green Valley, agricultural businesses, and many federal, state, and nonprofit agencies and organizations. AGvocate funding for the 2012-13 fiscal year is being provided by the Eastern Connecticut Resource Conservation Development Area and The Last Green Valley.
Responses are being sought by Sept. 14 from qualified respondents to accomplish the scope of work detailed in the request for qualifications. For information or to obtain a copy of the request for qualifications, contact Lois Bruinooge at: lois@tlgv.org.
