The public will get to check out some of the state's coolest manufactured products, including a space suit, helicopter and a battery-powered car, during Manufacturing Mania, a free event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Governor William A. O'Neill State Armory in Hartford.

Interactive activities for children, giveaways, refreshments and entertainment will be on tap.

The event will help kick off Manufacturing Month in Connecticut, which will feature companies and schools across the state opening their doors to help people learn about Connecticut-made products and careers.
