Riverfest Oct. 13 to celebrate Eightmile River watershed

East Haddam – The Eightmile River Wild & Scenic Committee will host RiverFest, a celebration of the Eightmile River watershed, from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 13 at Devil's Hopyard State Park.

The event will include bluegrass music, live native reptiles, birds of prey, children's activities, cider, chowders, chili and snacks.
