DEEP to host hearings on plan for Atlantic menhaden

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection will host hearings at 7 p.m. Oct. 16 and 3 p.m. Oct. 18 to hear public comment about the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s proposed fishery management plan for Atlantic menhaden.

The Oct. 16 hearing will take place at the DEEP Marine Headquarters, 333 Ferry Road, Old Lyme. The Oct. 18 hearing will be at the Bridgeport Regional Aquaculture Science & Technology Center, 60 St. Stevens Road, Bridgeport.
