Mashantucket - With construction advancing on its Pequot Outpost - a Mobil gas station, convenience store and Burger King restaurant - the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe announced Tuesday it's accepting applications for jobs at the facility.
Outlets in the 5,000-square-foot structure are scheduled to open in late November, the tribe said in a statement.
Located at the intersection of Foxwoods Boulevard and Lantern Hill Road (Route 214), across from the entrance to Two Trees Inn, the facility will be accessible from a Route 2 entrance.
"The superb location, level of service and number of amenities will prove to be a great benefit to anyone visiting the property as well as to local residents," said Cinque Dames and Jeff Hayward, who head the Tribal Business Advisory Board, which has oversight over the facility.
The 24-pump gas station will provide both gasoline and diesel fuel and will be open around the clock. Eventually, it will be equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles, as well as parking and a service area for recreational vehicles.
The Burger King will include a drive-through window.
Job applications can be submitted online at www.foxwoods.com or by contacting Scott Ferguson in the tribe's Human Resources Department at (860) 396-3574.
