New Haven (AP) — Police say a car that ran a red light has crashed into a bus carrying pre-school students in New Haven.
About a dozen children were on the bus but they were all strapped in their seats with safety harnesses and no one was injured. The bus driver was treated for minor injuries.
WTNH-TV reports the driver of the car was issued a citation for running a red light.
The accident happened Tuesday morning at the intersection of Elm Street and Ella Grasso Boulevard.
Mitt Romney and other conservatives have called for the end of government subsidies to public broadcasting. Do you think tax dollars should go to PBS and NPR?
