Well Healed Woman conference set for Nov. 4

Groton — Lawrence & Memorial Hospital's annual Well Healed Woman conference will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa.

Registration and continental breakfast will be from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by opening remarks at 11. At 11:30 Marilynn Malerba, chief of the Mohegan Tribe, will give a talk titled "The Importance of Service to Our Community." Lunch will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

From 2 to 3 p.m. actress and women's rights activist Vicki Lawrence will give the keynote address, titled, "Life is Much Too Serious to be Taken Seriously."

Tickets are $75 per person, or $100 for those who want to give an added donation to support future Well Healed Woman conferences. To register, visit: www.lmhospital.org, under "Give to L&M."
