Waterford police investigate armed robbery at gas station

Waterford — Police are investigating the Monday night armed robbery of the Henny Penny gas station at 30 Norwich Road.

Lt. Brett Mahoney said the incident occurred at 10:15 p.m. He said two masked people entered the store and displayed a weapon.

The suspects fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Mahoney said.

A state police canine unit and Montville police were called in for assistance.

Mahoney said police are working on some leads.

No injuries were report.
