A new place for Flock's "Macbeth"

Michael Langlois plays the porter in the Flock Theatre's "Macbeth."

Flock Theatre is marking its 10th year of staging "Macbeth" for the Halloween season.

This time, though, the witches will be "double, double toil and trouble"-ing and Lady Macbeth will be "out, damned spot"-ing at a new location. The performances Friday and Saturday will be at New London's Elks Lodge (rather than the previous First Congregational Church in the Whaling City). Flock talks up how this will make for "a more intimate and intense experience." No doubt. The actors and audience will be up close, with performers sometimes surrounding the theatergoers - and then vice versa.

Rick Madigan stars for the second time as Macbeth, who, with wife Lady Macbeth (Elizabeth Reynolds), scheme and strive to make him the king of Scotland.

"Macbeth," 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Elks Lodge, 81 Washington St., New London; $12 adults, $10 students and seniors; (860) 443-3119.
