"A Designer Showcase" graces Old Lyme

The designer showcase that benefits Child & Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut opens this weekend in Old Lyme.

“Interior Inspirations 2012: A Designer Showcase” features designer vignettes, a design and lifestyle speaker series, and a boutique marketplace. It all happens Friday through Sunday at The Lyme Art Association and the Old Lyme Inn.

The showcase of eight room vignettes have been created by noted designers and decorators: Larry Laslo, the event honorary chairperson, Larry Laslo Designs for Robert Allen, New York, N.Y.; Cindy Kranz and Keatha McCue, Galway Stallard, Avon; Virginia Linburg, VBL Design, Deep River; Marily MacKinnon, MacKinnon Interiors, Essex; Nina Cuccio Peck, Nina Cuccio Peck Architecture & Interiors, Old Lyme; Dennis Pough, Pough Interiors, Essex; Tom Rose, Black Whale Antiques, Hadlyme; and Patricia Spratt, Patricia Spratt for the Home, Old Lyme.

The boutique marketplace includes items by merchants including Jo Malone, Jacaranda Living and jewelry by Charlotte Meyer.

The speaker series includes Laslo at 12:30 p.m. Friday on “Artisan Inspirations” and Alexandra Stoddard at 1 p.m. Sunday on “Interior Inspiration: Living the Good Life.”

“Interior Inspirations 2012: A Designer Showcase,” 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today and Sat., 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sun., Lyme Art Association, 90 Lyme St., and the Old Lyme Inn, 85 Lyme St., Old Lyme; one-day entrance to vignettes and boutique $30; each speaker event is $20, based on available seating; three-day passes are $75.
