When President Obama mentioned shipping jobs to China during the first presidential debate, Mitt Romney replied, "I don't know what you're talking about." No? In October 2010 Bain Capital bought out a Honeywell subsidiary, Sensata Technologies. Bain immediately told Sensata employees that the plant was closing and their jobs were being shipped to China. If Romney didn't know, it's because he didn't want to. He cared as little for Sensata's workers as he cares for the 47 percent he so contemptuously insulted. Back then, thinking that no one would hear but the fellow plutocrats he was schmoozing, he showed us his true self. Moreover, by hiding his fortune in overseas accounts, he proves his love of money trumps his love of country.
Mitt Romney is not a good enough American to deserve the nation's highest office. We cannot trust him. We would not be safe under his thumb.
