New London – Police said a taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night after he dropped off his passenger on Robinson Street.
Police have not publicly identified a suspect, but said the cab driver picked up his fare at the downtown train station and drove the suspect to Robinson Street. Once there, the suspect pulled a dark handgun and ordered the cab driver to give him his money. The suspect grabbed the cash and fled on foot, police said.
No further information was released but police said the incident is under investigation by detectives.
