Our supreme leaders have failed us as well as the oligarchy in Congress. Their political and self interests have overshadowed their obligation to us.

Specifically they have not been honest or quick enough to recognize that Hezbollah's leader Hussein Massasawi has said, "We are not fighting so that you will offer us something. We are fighting to eliminate you."

Old-fashioned classical counter-insurgency is designed to defeat an insurgency in one country. It has limitations to what is going on today.

Today we need a new paradigm that addresses global insurgency.

Our best and brightest politicians have failed us and this threat has not been conveyed to Americans effectively.

Conveying this to all Americans of voting age will require more insight than our politicians have offered and exhibited.

Unfortunately, the odds in favor of countering a global insurgency are not favorable considering the universal prominence of Islam.
