Ledyard volleyball adds another first, reaches Class M state title game

Berlin — Kylie Fustini had 25 kills, five blocks and five assists as the Ledyard High School volleyball team topped Weston 25-21, 24-26, 26-24, 25-15 Wednesday in the Class M state tournament semifinals.

Michelle Klinikowski added 16 kills, Brianna Riley 22 assists and Jennifer Nohara 15 assists for third-seeded Ledyard (17-5).

The Colonels will play top-ranked Woodland of Beacon Falls in Saturday’s final at East Haven High (1 p.m.), Ledyard’s first state championship appearance.
