East Lyme loses on penalty kicks in Class L girls' soccer semis

Waterbury — The East Lyme girls’ soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 1-0 on penalty kicks to Masuk of Monroe in a CIAC Class L tournament semifinal Saturday.
No. 4 Masuk won 3-2 in the penalty kick phase.
Meredith Moore and Isabelle Moore made penalty kicks and Allison Stoddard made nine saves for No. 1 East Lyme (18-1-2).
